Antique Persian Serapi Rug, Circa Date: 1880 – Here is beautiful antique  – an antique Serapi carpet, woven in Persia during the second decade of the twentieth century. Designed with classical elements of Persian rug, this Serapi rug is a truly wonderful example of an important style. Fist, a classical series of borders spectacularly frame the composition.  The borders beautifully set the stage for the impressive field. A splendidly complex series of vine scrolls are woven throughout the field, as are a large and comely array of floral elements. Small blossoms and full petals are on display throughout. The overall composition is masterfully executed, with exceptional line work and a remarkable balance on display throughout.
