My journey in this business began in the summer of 1978 in New York, just before my senior year in high school. I started working as a temporary help in my family’s retail store located at 256 5th Avenue, NYC.
As a third-generation merchant specializing in fine and antique Oriental rugs, I developed a deep fascination for this art form. Over the past 40 years, I have studied extensively, traveled to numerous countries, and met many artists, immersing myself in the world of Oriental rugs.
What I have brought to Alexandria is a curated collection of the finest Oriental rugs from artists around the globe, each piece capable of transforming any room into a space of awe and beauty.

We believe that every rug tells a unique story
Carrying a piece of the heart and soul of the weaver, with aesthetic qualities and historical traditions in each piece. There are so many steps that must occur when a rug is hand crafted including hand spinning, dyeing and knotting the wool and or silk. All of our handpicked rugs have had extraordinary attention to the finishing process, including hand washing, hand shearing and other details, all of which have created an exquisite final product.
